First Visit / New Patient Consultation
This important 30-minute orthodontic evaluation will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options to determine whether this is the proper time to begin treatment.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit to Rhinebeck Orthodontics:
- A completed health history that will be mailed to you when you first schedule an appointment in our Kingston or Rhinebeck office
- If possible, any recent dental x-rays
During the initial examination, we will address the following:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can help?
- Wait for growth & development to be completed or start treatment soon?
- What types of procedures could help correct the problem?
- Is there a need to remove some permanent teeth? How long will treatment last?
We encourage you to ask questions as well. While we can often answer these general questions during the initial examination, specifics of treatment type, length and cost are reserved for a thorough discussion at a later date.
Second Visit / Diagnostic Records
The diagnostic records appointment includes x-rays, digital photos and impressions for study models that are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan. This second appointment will last approximately an hour.
Third Visit / Conference
The conference appointment will address specific areas after careful analysis of the diagnostic records. Orthodontist Dr. Rajendra Rana believes that in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, with a detailed plan to achieve treatment goals. All options, regarding treatment type, length and cost will be discussed with responsible parties. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions. We do our best to ensure that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of the proposed treatment and all other concerns.
